Deux Chevaux is a performance by William Mackrell consisting of two horses pulling a two-horse power car (Citroen 2CV). The work challenges the interaction of natural and mechanical power, questioning the limits of language to measure their differences and similarities whilst confronted with the unexpected in the everyday.
Deux Chevaux will begin from Hyde Park (opposite the Serpentine Sackler Gallery) at 11.30am-12pm, travelling to the Natural History Museum (Exhibition Road Entrance) 12.15-12.45pm, Royal Albert Hall 1.00-1.20pm, Institut Français 1.40-2.00pm, Royal British Society of Sculptors 2.10-2.30pm, Chelsea Theatre 3.00-3.30pm, Dovehouse Green (opposite Chelsea Old Town Hall) 3.50-4.20pm, Duke of York Square 4.40-5.10pm, finishing at Andipa Gallery, Knightsbridge at 5.30pm.
*A drinks reception will follow the performance at Andipa Gallery from 6pm.
