Clearwater Curations

– Dark Suit and Lavender Shirt, Standing –

Perceived through Egon’s relationships with muse Wally Neuzil and mentor Gustav Klimt, ‘Dark Suit…’ uses precise projection, complex choreography and a moving musical score to explore the lives of these pioneering artists, whose legacy lays bare themes of transcendence, tension and the search for truth.

Toby Thompson is a performance poet based in London. He has appeared at most major UK festivals (Glastonbury Slam Champion) and written numerous commissions, including for the RSC, the Royal & Derngate Theatre in Northampton, and Bath-based charity “5x5x5=creativity”.

During 2017 he was resident at Battersea Arts Centre in the role of ‘Artist Host’ and has been developing a new work specially commissioned by the egg (Theatre Royal Bath) for young audiences under their “Incubator” programme. The intention is to develop “I Wish I Was a Mountain” into a full production to tour in 2018.

“Toby Thompson is a writer and performer of thoughts and feelings. Not just his own, but somehow yours too.”

“…one of the most inspired, powerful poets I’ve heard in years. …Who knows what primal wellspring he’s pulling all this inspiration from, but anyway, world – take notice.”

– ‘Untitled’ –

Written and performed by Rasfan Haval

– Cecilia Knapp –

Cecilia Knapp is a writer, performer, theatre maker and poet. Over the last few years Cecilia has headlined at some of the UK’s top poetry nights and performed on stages at festivals including Bestival, Secret Garden Party and Wilderness.
She was resident artist at the Roundhouse and has since received a substantial Arts Council grant to write and develop her own one woman spoken word theatre show ‘Finding Home’, an exploration of loss, mental health and womanhood. Her poetry has been played on XFM, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 4 and 5 LIVE.

Cecilia has been described as ‘mesmerising’ and ‘totally gripping’, with writing as ‘light as a birds feather’ (Lyn Gardner). She focuses on the poetry in everyday life, experience and human interaction and believes writing and sharing stories to be transformative and uniting.
