Kathak is one of the eight major forms of Indian classical dance. The style uses alternating passages of mime and dancing. Kathak is derived from the Sanskrit word Katha meaning story and Kathakars meaning the one who tells a story.
DanceWest teacher Parbati will lead a fun, accessible sessions from 4.00-4.30pm for 5-11 year olds and then from 4.30-5.00pm for 11-18 year olds. Learn routines, develop your balance and coordination learning this beautiful dance form.
Classes are 30 minutes and take place on Zoom every week. All the classes are taught by DanceWest specialist dance teachers, with a flair for making everyone feel welcome and supported. The DanceWest team are experienced and qualified all DBS checked.
