Jia Yu Corti
When movement and words collide, how do we make sense? Does text always win out over bodies? Seven dancer/makers and one philosopher delve into personal dance histories, drawing out sensations, questions and memories. Scraps of text and fragments of movement dance around one another, mingling and interweaving into a rich tapestry of meanings.
The panel is funded by Arts Council England.
Jia-Yu is originally from Taiwan, and have trained and danced internationally in the UK, USA and Canada. Jia-Yu has moved freely between dance and performance art, as a maker and performer, in site specific, film and performance art projects.
