Once The World Was Here, 1-2 April – Chickenshed Kensington & Chelsea

A dark vision of a totalitarian future, in which love, freedom and thought are oppressed by tyranny and fear.

Chickenshed Kensington and Chelsea’s Adult and Youth theatres have created this original piece of theatre by drawing from Orwellian themes. The audience will be engulfed in a story where love and freedom fight to survive in a world where power and control rule.

The CKC artistic team have drawn from the creativity of the 70 strong cast to develop this powerful piece of theatre, using spoken word, physical theatre and original music.

The project sees the collaboration between Chickenshed Kensington and Chelsea and the Royal College of Music continue, with student musicians from the RCM joining our members on stage.
As part of the Chickenshed’s 40th year celebrations, Once The World Was Here draws upon the music and scripts from previous Chickenshed productions.
