Theatre Hire

Chelsea Theatre is a professional venue in central London that has staged productions from some of the biggest names in contemporary performance, including original productions from Sarah Kane, BBC sitcom and panel-show recordings and big-name comedians such as Russell Brand.

If you are a school, student group, fringe or amateur production looking to get experience on a professional London stage with a fantastic reputation and facilities, Chelsea Theatre is the perfect venue to hire.

Chelsea Theatre’s auditorium seats 110 People. We have a big stage that is perfect for movement based work, dance or musical productions. This can also be masked with tabs and flats to create a more intimate space.  We also have high-quality projector, film-screen, air-conditioning, a new state-of-the-art sound system and a large number of lights for the rig. There is a large backstage area and two large dressing rooms (which makes Chelsea Theatre great for big casts). The theatre has a fully integrated online box office system.

Downstairs Chelsea Theatre has a variety of rehearsal rooms and a fully licensed café and bar for those interval drinks and snacks. Chelsea Theatre is fully accessible.

Chelsea Theatre can be hired from 1 day to up to 4 weeks. The space is accessible to renting companies from 10am-11pm, and can be used for multiple performances per day (matinees ect)

Room Hire

We have a number of rooms and studios available for hire; varying in size from small and intimate rooms for up to 10 people, to large bright studios able to house 50.  To enquire about room hire, please contact us on admin@chelseatheatre.org.uk or 020 7352 1967.

Auditorium

The ground floor also comprises a large foyer (90m2), a dark room and a cafe/bar.
Upstairs is a 110-seat auditorium (with an acting space of 69m2 and two dressing rooms)

Office Hire

We also have office space for hire, to preferably house a local voluntary or community group or a Social Enterprise organisation.  Six month let, exclusive use. Size: approx 20′x 8′
