What Tammy Needs To Know... ...About Getting Old and Having Sex
Tammy WhyNot is a 58 year-old trailer park survivor who became a famous Country and Western singer then gave it all up to pursue a career as a lesbian performance artist. Now Tammy is delving into those taboo subjects of age and sex and consulting sexual health doctors and clinical psychologists. She will hold workshops in Blackfriars and Hackney, conduct clandestine operations in the ladies rooms in Selfridges, investigate Tea Rooms, infiltrate Tea Dances, take out personal ads and even join Facebook. All in the service of these questions: What is it like to get old? What is it like to have sex? What is it like to get old and have sex?
Then she’s going public! Tammy will fulfil her life long dream of creating a pilot for her own TV Talk show. Join her for segments like: On Tammy’s Couch, interviews with sexually active women of a certain age; Tammy’s Toys, some helpful hints and interesting product placements; Tammy in… Sexville, a woman on the street report and even the launch of Tammy's own magazine, T.
Tammy WhyNot began her quest for knowledge with What Tammy Needs To Know in 1999. She has performed in Helsinki, Warsaw, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, NYC, Los Angeles and London. Tammy shares a body with Lois Weaver, a writer-director-performer with the Split Britches Theatre Company and Professor of Contemporary Performance Practice at Queen Mary, University of London.
