SPITZE/TOE is an examination of classical dance: its people, its hierarchies, its world of illusions, its body images. Susanne Kirnbauer, first solo dancer in residence of the Vienna State Opera, Harald Baluch, solo dancer, and Doris Uhlich, who began to toe-dance at the age of 30, meet one another.

The performers leave their usual means of representation and stage presence behind and find new approaches to their own dance biographies.

Doris Uhlich studied Educational Science for Modern Dance at the Konservatorium Vienna. She has been involved with projects with theatercombinat since 2002, has been artist in residence at Dans in Kortrijk, imagetanz and Impulstanz as well as enjoying a residency at brut Wien.
