Located at World’s End Place at the end of King’s Road, Chelsea Theatre is one the most versatile venues in South West London. A welcoming space that offers weekday and weekend hire.
Chelsea Theatre is a professional and adaptable venue that has staged productions from some of the biggest names in contemporary performance, including original productions from Sarah Kane, BBC sitcom and panel-show recordings, and big-name comedians such as Russell Brand.
If you are a school, student group, fringe or amateur production looking to get experience on a professional London stage with a fantastic reputation and facilities, Chelsea Theatre is the perfect venue to hire.
6.6m x 9.6m. Actual room size is 69m squared.
Chelsea Theatre’s auditorium seats 110 people but the seating can be adjusted to accommodate wheelchair access. The large stage welcomes bigger casts and is perfect for movement based work, dance and musical productions. The stage can also be masked with tabs and flats to create a more intimate space.
We also have a high-quality projector, film-screen, air-conditioning, a powerful new sound system and a large number of lights for the rig. There are two large dressing rooms and a large backstage area for those quick costume changes.
Chelsea Theatre can be hired from 1 day up to 4 weeks. The space is accessible to visiting companies from 10am-10:30pm, and can be used for multiple performances per day (matinees etc.)
STUDIO SPACES, MULTI-PURPOSE ROOMS & BAR/FOYER
Downstairs Chelsea Theatre has a fully licensed café and bar for those interval drinks and snacks. There are also rehearsal and meeting rooms, a dance studio, two studios and a foyer that can accommodate up to 80 people for social events.
How to hire:
All of our spaces are fully accessible. Rates are the same whether you hire in the weekday or weekend, and the theatre is available for a shorter half day, daily and weekly hire.
